CTAG is a collaborative organization focused on maintaining and improving the quality of pesticide training and certification programs in the U.S. Members include representatives from state pesticide regulatory agencies, pesticide educators from land grant universities, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency personnel, and representatives from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. CTAG is meeting June 8-9, 2010 in Portland, Oregon.

CTAG is soliciting comments on a draft paper, Content Criteria for Commercial and Private Pesticide Applicator Recertification, until Friday, May 28.

CTAG has revamped its web page to better distribute information about pesticide training and certification issues.

CTAG has released a Ten Year Accomplishment Report that outlines activities undertaken in response to the report Pesticide Safety for the 21st Century released in 1999.

CTAG has three workgroups considering issues related to recertification: online programs, content, and administration.

CTAG is evaluating the status of how states, tribes, and territories are implementing the "Direct Supervision" provisions of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA).

CTAG recently introduced CPARD 2.0. CPARD stands for Certification Plan & Reporting Database.
